Kia Ora, Welcome to Paw Face!
Meet Rebecca (Bex)
Dogs have been a massive part of my life and I have been fortunate enough to have worked for some amazing charities overseas in Thailand, India and Sri Lanka, that are helping to curb the street dog and cat population. This is where my interest in complementary therapies first came about. We got so many dogs and cats that came in that had been hit by cars, or buses, caught some disease or had received physical and emotional trauma from humans. Money was always tight so we had to look at other ways to bring back the health and well-being of these animals and this is where I started to look at massage, reiki, homeopathy and other therapies to help. These experiences really opened my eyes and I was truly humbled and inspired by the amazing people I worked with and the dogs and cats that came into our care.
I have over 15 years of experience working with dogs and have a Bachelor of Applied Science where I majored in Animal Welfare. I have worked in local boarding kennels, the Ministry of Primary Industries as part of their dog team and other organisations both in NZ and in Australia.
I completed a certificate in Canine Myofunctional Therapy in 2017 and have my Level 3 in Animal Reiki. I am currently completing a Diploma in Animal Homeopathy and will be offering other beneficial services in the near future. I am also developing a product line which will utilise Maori Plant based medicine (Rongoa Maori).
I am also the Pet 1st Aid Instructor for the Bay of Plenty, West Auckland and surrounds and hold regular courses which will be posted on social media and on our website.
I love working with animals as I see it as such a privilege to help support them on their journey towards healing physically, emotionally and spiritually. I am honoured to be offering my skills, knowledge and experience to your beloved pet.
