A bit about our new products

“Of all the paths you take in life, make sure a few of them are dirt” – John Muir

Introducing our all-natural, Paw-some pet soaps and healing balms. Our store now offers our furry customers a range of 4 handmade soaps and 3 healing balms. Our products have been lovingly hand-crafted, tried and tested and made with all-natural ingredients.
Our inspiration behind these products came from the late, great and master tester – Oscar aka Fatty. Oscar LOVED to walk in the mud and some pretty questionable water; so, would either come back smelling pretty bad, flare up with skin irritations or both. Because we wanted to look at more natural, and affordable products, the idea for these products were created. We wanted products that were free of parabens, nasty chemicals and other ingredients that are harmful to our pets. So, after months of workshops, trials and errors; our products started to take shape.
Our mission was to create products that were safe for our pets to use on a regular bases, that were natural, promoted healthy skin and coats and aided in healing. And Hey, even I have used them as well.
Each product has been carefully crafted with wholesome ingredients to assist in combating a range of skin issues our pets sometimes suffer from.

Kawakawa and Neem – Great for deterring fleas and soothing skin irritations.
For our Kawakawa and Neem soap, we chose ingredients for their natural healing qualities and flea and bug-repelling attributes to produce a quality soap for our dogs' skin and coat health.
Our soap's main ingredients are Neem Oil and our very own NZ Native Kawakawa. Neem Oil helps ease itches and scratches and is a known natural flea repellent. Kawakawa is excellent for wound care, it helps soothe irritations and assists in reinvigorating skin moisture and also is traditionally used as an insect repellent. To boost the functionality of our soap, we included Niaouli, Lemon-scented Tea Tree, and Manuka essential oils for their natural healing and soothing attributes.

Hemp seed and Kumarahou – Great for skin irritations and dogs prone to heat spots
For our Hemp seed and Kumarahou soap, we chose ingredients for their anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, and anti-inflammatory qualities to gently help reduce those irritating itches and scratches.
Our two main ingredients are Hemp Seed Oil and our very own NZ native Kumarahou. Hemp Seed Oil is excellent in treating eczema, rashes, dandruff, and can assist in reducing hot spots. Similar to Hemp Seed Oil, Kumarahou is known to be used to soothe irritations and assist in wound care. To help boost the functionality of our soup, we have included Lavender, Frankincense, and Sweet Marjoram for their natural healing and soothing attributes.

Coconut – Our soap designed for our feline companions
Our Coconut soap is uniquely suited to help soothe our pets' skin during & after their wash. Perfect for all pets who have naturally sensitive skin or, who recently developed skin sensitivity from a change in diet, environment, or illness. Our soap is perfectly safe to use on CATS, young puppies and is safe during and after pregnancy.
Cats and other sensitive pets don't react well to essentials oils and the list of oils deemed as safe for cats is so small. We here at Paw Face kept the ingredients naturally simple by not using any essential oils to suit your pets' unique needs.
Our two main ingredients are Coconut Milk and Kukui Oil. Coconut Milk is excellent for all skin types, known to be used as a natural moisturiser that contains anti-bacterial and anti-viral qualities. Kukui Oil, traditionally used in Hawaii, is excellent for naturally reducing inflammation and preventing discomfort and itchiness.

Honey and Colloidal Oats – For our very sensitive types
Our Honey & Colloidal Oats soap is especially suited for young puppies, pets that have particularly sensitive skin, or in the pre/post-pregnancy stages, and 'YES' it's perfect for cats too!
Again we opted to not add and essential oils in this soap for our cats and other sensitive pets.
Our soap's main ingredients are Coconut Milk, Honey, and Colloidal Oats. Coconut Milk is excellent for all skin types, known to be used as a natural moisturizer that contains anti-bacterial and anti-viral qualities. Honey is an anti-bacterial disinfectant, just one of nature's gifts for treating sensitive skin irritations that can lead to obsessive scratching. Colloidal Oatmeal is perfect in preventing infection. It stimulates the healing of damaged skin by creating a barrier, helping to lock in moisture and protecting it from irritants.

Takawai balm – Our very own moisture balm, purfect to use on cats
Takawai, (meaning to moisten) is a handcrafted natural moisturizing pet balm. Uniquely designed to help rejuvenate our pet's skin by soothing sensitive areas when it becomes dry, flaky, or chapped.

Mamae balm – Great for minor cuts, abrasions, hot spots and skin irritations.
Mamae, (meaning sore, painful) is a handcrafted natural dog balm, uniquely designed to help treat our dogs' itches and scratches like abrasions, flaky spots, rashes and heat spots.
