Acute Animal Homeopathy

What is Homeopathy?

Homeopathy is a safe, gentle, and natural system of healing that works with your body to relieve symptoms, restore and improve overall health. It is a system of natural health care that has been used worldwide for over 200 years. Homeopathy treats each person/animal as a unique individual with the aim of stimulating their own healing ability. A homeopath selects the most appropriate remedy based on the individual’s specific symptoms and their level of health.

Homeopathy is a gentle approach to healing and supporting  individual animals, by looking at the whole animal (physical, mental, and emotional) and giving an individual remedy to help trigger their  body’s own natural healing response.

Homeopathy is effective for most conditions and is gentle and safe to use on animals of all ages including babies, nursing mums and senior animals.

Why is Homeopathy becoming popular?

Homeopathic treatments work with your pets own healing powers to bring about health and well-being.

Your pet is treated as an individual, not as a collection of disease labels.

Homeopathy treats all your of your pets symptoms at all levels of your pets being – spiritual, emotional, mental and physical and finds the individual remedy match for them.

Homeopathic remedies are gentle, subtle and powerful. They are non-addictive, and not tested on animals.

What is an Acute Condition?

An acute disease in homeopathy is a clinical condition with a sudden onset, sudden progress and a sudden decline. Acute disease is mainly self-limiting in nature; characterised by the symptoms having a rapid onset. These symptoms are fairly intense and resolve in a short period of time.

Some typical acute conditions that are common is animals can range from kennel cough, ringworm, diarrhoea, vomiting, cuts, bruises, insect stings, fever, some eye conditions, ear infections, sprains or strains.

Acute homeopathic prescribing needs immediate attention and faster action. The remedies given in acute prescribing are intended to stimulate the animal’s internal ability to heal itself.

What happens in a consultation…

The first consultation normally takes over an hour and is done in the comfort of your home, where your animal is at most ease. However, Skype, Video call or phone consultations can also be done if coming to your home is not possible. I will need a photo of your animal and if possible, some video footage of the issue.

A lot of information is gathered during the appointment so will need your guidance and input into your animals life history and condition. During the appointment I will be observing your animal and taking note of their mental, physical, emotional state, their behaviour and mobility.

The information gathered will be looked at and the most suitable remedy will be selected for your animal. Instructions will be given as well as booking up a follow up consultation, which can be done over the phone.

Any additional consultations may be referred on to a chronic homeopath.

Similar to a doctor, a prescription will be provided for the remedy selected; which can be collected at a suitable homeopathic dispensary.
